S&S Meats and Spirits is seeking a dependable, hardworking and detail-oriented Cut Room Employee to join our team.  This position is responsible for assisting with cutting, trimming, processing and packaging and preparation of meat products in a clean, safe, efficient manner.  The ideal candidate will take pride in quality workmanship, follow food safety standards and work well in a team environment.  

Key Responsibilities:

*  Cut, Trim, bone, and prepare various types of meat products according to company standards

*  Operate knives, saws, grinders, and other meat processing equipment safely and effectively

*  Grind, portion, and package meat products for retail display and customer orders

*  Prepare custom cutting orders and special request

*  Package, label, and properly store meat products for retail sales

*  Maintain clean, organized and sanitation of all work areas, equipment and tools

*  Follow all food safety, USDA, and health regulations

*  Assist with rotating inventory (FIFO method)

*  Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking cooler and freezers

*  Help maintain production scheduled to meet customer demand

*  Help unload, move, and store meat and supplies as needed

*  Work cooperatively with other team members to meet daily production efficiently

*  Ensure product quality and consistency at all times

* Provide excellent customer service when assisting customers with meat selection or special orders

Qualifications:

*  Prior experience in meat cutting, food processing or a related field preferred (willing to train the right candidate)

*  Ability to safely use knives and meat cutting equipment

*  Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

*  

*  Dependable attendance, punctual, positive attitude and team oriented

*  Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment along with strong communication skills

Work Environment:

* Cold Room / Refrigerated environment  

*  Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ lbs. as needed

* Exposure to a raw meat product and cutting equipment

* Fast-paced, physically active work setting

Schedule & Pay:

* Full-Time position available

* Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed, 7:30-5p.m or until done
